From school sports to hiring employees, I have been a leader my entire life.  I have come up with unique policies like my Fight to Unite Initiative which incorporate things like the Green New Deal and education reform among other things.  Having worked in an accounting office and owning my own business I understand how to incentivize companies like Walmart to pay living wages so we can take their workers off government assistance.  After being robbed by an Uber driver I took them to court across the country twice and won to hold the company accountable for their bad practices.

Since 1996, Earl Blumenauer has been my representative.  He has made some fine votes, but he also voted to repeal regulations of Glass-Stegall which led to the 2008 financial crisis.  Earl has not been a leader in his position of 23 years, especially in our new crisis of a President that breaks the law every day.  He viewed taking a leadership position as using his superdelegate vote in the 2016 election to vote for Clinton despite Sanders taking 56% of our states vote.  It took a popular freshman Congresswoman for him to sign on to a radical climate change proposal in the Green New Deal, and now that Bernie Sanders is popular he is taking every opportunity to take his picture with him.

Earl is not a bad person, nor is he a bad representative.  I just believe that we should have term limits that are well under 26 years to make sure we have new ideas so our government doesn’t stagnate.  If you live a majority of 26 years 3,000 miles from your district, at a certain point it will be hard to represent them.

2020 is going to be a critical year for our country.  We have a real chance for actual meaningful change if we are willing to fight for it.  Sometimes I am thinking so much about ways to help our country I have trouble sleeping.  I am willing to give up my company so that I can put everything I have into helping to heal our country and make it so people don’t have to sleep on the streets.  I want to spend every day fighting to reform the way mega-corporations take advantage of humans all over the world.

This is not just a job for me, this is fighting to make sure everyone has a chance.  This is a chance to help people without the means to help themselves.  This is an opportunity to fight corruption in our government, and end endless wars.  This is our chance to fight to do the right thing, which isn’t always the easy thing.

Vote for someone willing to fight.

Vote Dane Wilcox for Congress.
